Having your opinion changed is an awesome feeling

It seems dangerous to speak your mind at the moment. I found myself censoring my thoughts before I posted on LinkedIn for fear it would damage my future prospects.

And this is the most innocent version of censorship. It’s not like im having conversation about politics on LinkedIn.

James Victore embraced it as ‘have a damn opinion’.

In my cased I saw a post from a recruiter saying they were getting feedback about a particular agency being a toxic place to work. But rather than name the agency they continue to send freelancers there to work! Cash prevailed over decency.

I wish they were bold enough to name the agency.

I wanted to get challenge them to be bold but for fear of causing an issue, I shut my mouth.

We should be brave to enough to challenge others and be prepared to be challenged ourselves.

Having your opinion changed is an awesome feeling.

“If there be time to expose through discussion the falsehood and fallacies, to avert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence. Only an emergency can justify repression.”
Brandeis

Talk more. Good things will come of it.
