Marriage Equality vote in Australia

“The Australian Human Rights Commission considers that the fundamental human rights principle of equality means that civil marriage should be available, without discrimination, to all couples, regardless of sex, sexual orientation or gender identity.”

However, the outdated, out of touch, religiously inclined, politicians that govern our society chose to ignore this. All the while continuing  to violate human rights with regards to the detention of people fleeing wars zones by implementing similar systems used in concentration camps in WWII.
